Simple and made to actually get you out, try things, and relax. Each week has 3 tiny adventures (mix of free / solo / group / food / paid). Pick days that work for you - M/W/F, or whenever. Keep it low-pressure: each one is only 30–180 minutes.

How to use this planner (30 seconds)

  1. Pick one start cue (e.g., “Sneakers on”) and one end cue (e.g., “Snack + chill”).

  2. Do the micro-adventure. Take pictures or a 1-line note: one thing you liked.

  3. Repeat. Three small wins a week = better mood, new memories.

Week 1 — Fresh Start

    • Bring: phone/camera. List: red door, graffiti, puddle reflection, weird tree. 10 photos = small gallery.

  3. Tea & Toastboard Cafe TryoutGroup

    • Try a new local cafe. Share a toastboard or two. Vote on the best combo.


Week 2 — Move & Taste

  1. Sunrise (or Sunset) WalkSolo or group

    • Bring: coat. Keep it calm — just breathe and watch the sky.

  2. DIY Street Food NightGroup

    • Time: 60–90 min • Cost: £8–£18 (ingredients or market food)

    • Make loaded fries, wraps, or try three market stalls and split bites.

  3. Borrow & Read at the Library NookSolo

    • Time: 45–60 min • Cost: Free

    • Bring: library card or just browse. Pick a book by cover for 20 mins, then a poem.


Week 3 — Nature & Tiny Skills

  1. River/Canal Bank Chill + Skipping StonesSolo/group

    • Time: 45–75 min • Cost: Free

    • Bring: comfy shoes. Count skips, try three different throws.

  2. Quick Bike Route + Ice Cream StopGroup

    • Time: 60–120 min • Cost: £3–£7 (ice cream + tube pass if needed)

    • Plan a safe 5–8 mile loop. Reward = cone.

  3. One-Skill Session: Knot-Tying or Basic First AidSolo/group

    • Time: 45–60 min • Cost: Free–£5 (bandage kit)

    • Learn a simple knot or how to dress a cut. Practical and a bit clever.


Week 4 — Adventure Lite

    • Find a local youth gig or open mic. Clap for courage.


Week 6 — Wind-Down Week

    • No music. Walk slowly, notice leaves, smells and textures.

  2. Take-Your-Phone-Photo-DaySolo/group

    • Time: 60–90 min • Cost: Free

    • Limit yourself to 12 photos — make each one mean something.

  3. End-of-Summer Micro-PartyGroup

    • Time: 90–180 min • Cost: £10–£30 (food + small activities)

    • Bring snacks, a speaker, one game. Everyone shares one highlight from the 6 weeks.


Quick budgets & notes

  • Cheap food meet-ups: £6–£12 per person.

  • Small travel (bus/train short): £2–£8.

  • Events/cafés/open-mic: usually £0–£10.

  • End-of-summer mini-party: £10–£30 split between attendees.
    Always check travel costs in advance; use family railcards if you have them.


Packing — short checklist for most adventures

  • ✅ Phone + charger or power bank

  • ✅ £5–£10 cash if you might buy food


Safety & permissions (important)

  • Tell a parent/carer where you’re going and when you’ll be back.

  • If an activity uses transport, check times and fares beforehand.

  • For water/coastal activities, stay within safe areas and preferably go with someone who knows the place.

  • If you’re under 16 and doing paid events, check entry rules.


Tiny bonus challenges (extra)

  • Try one new food each week.

  • Give one compliment per adventure day.

  • Keep a single page “Joy Notes” with one line per adventure.


 

🌞 That’s it — 18 tiny, doable adventures for 6 weeks of summer. Keep it flexible: swap, skip, and remix. The point is small, regular joy — not pressure.
